Fay came into the studio one day singing “… I’m Alright, I’m Okay. ..” and I remember us going to the piano and experimenting with keys/feel/tempo like we normally do. Instantly, a strong horn presence (trumpet/trombone/saxes) started to reveal itself.
It’s always such a thrill to travel our beautiful country and see old friends along the way. Just as thrilling is getting the opportunity to make new ones.
We’re back home after a trip to our neighbouring province to perform at Manitoba Arts Network Manitoba Showcase.

Today, like many days before, I woke up to a dark sleepy house and quietly got ready for the two hour trip to Fenwick. Dizzy & I book regular songwriting and recording sessions to keep the music flowing. It’s been a life-line these past few years.
