Home Is Where My Heart Is — A Note from Us

As traveling musicians, we often find ourselves in incredible places — vibrant cities, quiet towns with the best coffee you’ve ever tasted, breathtaking landscapes. But no matter how beautiful the surroundings, it’s never quite the same without the people we love. That feeling of longing and connection is what inspired our song "Home is Where My Heart Is."

The melody began as a bright, hopeful tune that I brought to Mark. Wanting to capture the bittersweet side of being away, he suggested shifting the second part into a minor key, adding depth and emotion to the piece. And man was he right! Immediately the song felt like it had found the feeling it was yearning for.

To give you a glimpse into this journey, we’ve shared a special live performance of the song that we recorded back in 2023 with our dear friend Rich Moore (bass).
